Ex US Army H-25A 51-16630.

This gorgeous Retriever was delivered to the US Army as 51-16623 before transfer to the RCN in 1954. It has been restored and is now on display at the Canada Aviation & Space Museum.

Royal Canadian Navy F2H-3 Banshee ex VF-870 Squadron 'preserved' in a late winter snowdrift at the Rockcliffe museum.

Another unique item at the Helicopter Museum, one of three used by the RCN on SAR duties till 1964 and later registered N6699D. Ex 51-16622.

Procured by USAF as 51-16621 and transferred to Royal Canadian Navy. Shown here while preserved at the Langley Museum. In 2023 it is on display at the Classic Rotors Rare & Vintage Rotorcraft Museum, Ramona, CA.

Delivered to the Royal Canadian Navy in 1951, this Sea Fury was SOC in 1957 and went to a trade school in Calgary. In 1966, it went on display at HMCS Tecumseh, the Canadian Naval Reserve unit in Calgary. It was preserved outside with a Supermarine Seafire and a McDonnell Banshee in their RCN colors. Later all three were restored by the Aero Space Museum of Calgary and returned for presentation inside at the new Naval Museum of Alberta at the same site.

This is actually PR451 with the Royal Canadian Navy June 1, 1946 to May 25, 1949 and was donated to the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology around 1950. The aircraft was displayed as photographed at HMCS Tecumseh in Calgary from 1961 - 1984. Transferred to the Calgary Aerospace museum for restoration (along with the Banshee behind and a Sea Fury) during 1984 - 85. All three aircraft are now displayed at the Military Museums of Calgary in the Naval section. The Seafire is now coded VG-AA-N.

Ex USAF 51-16630. Displayed as Piasecki HUP-3 s/n 630, but none of the RCN's three HUP-3s carried this number.
