Ex FAA FP494 returned to US Navy as 66345 in 1945. Sold as NC55429 and than acquired by the Argentine Navy. It became part of the Mission National in Paraguay in 1964 and was transferred to Paraguay in 1968.

Former Armada Argentina DC-3 5-T-22 "Cabo de Hornos" is now being restored and preserved by the Aeroclub of Ushuaia. It is placed at the old airport of Ushuaia now home of the aeroclub. It is great to see such a cool bird in this spectacular corner of the world. This could well be "The world most southern preserved propliner".

The Dewoitine company went bankrupt in January 1927 and Émile Dewoitine temporarily moved to Switzerland where EKW continued development of the new D.27 fighter. Ten D.21s ordered by Argentina and Czechoslovakia were also built by the Swiss state factory, the D.21 being a variant of the D.1. Captured in Stanley after the Falklands War and subsequently shipped to the UK. It is actually a composite airframe, with the front fuselage from 0761.

Being used as a ground target in the "Rabbit Range" and has been on the receiving end of Harrier and F-4 firepower for a couple of years. Originally the aircraft was damaged by the SAS raid on Pebble Island during the war. Close by are Huey AE-412 and Pucara A-506, all suffering the same attention (see here). The remaining bits were cleared away by the early 90s.

This MB-339 is actually a composite of two aircraft with the front section originating from '0761'. The frame was shipped to the UK after the Falklands War and went, firstly, on display at the FAAM at Yeovilton but has now migrated, alas, minus the wings to the South Yokrshire Aircraft Museum/Aeroventure.

There must have been some South American meeting. Just right of these two was also a Chile AF B727.

Five months old when this was taken on a freight run to Andrews. Flew as LV-RRA on lease to Charter Fly for a couple of years from 1992. Still in service with the Armada Argentina till 2017 named 'Malvinas Argentinas' and stored at Ezeiza
