It was fairly unusual to see a flying display by a Victor but this aircraft was about to take-off for one at a Woodford Airshow. They were converted to K M2 (tankers) at this airfield and, though I can't remember, I guess that this was one such aircraft prior to its return to the Air Force.

The Snipe entered Squadron service shortly before the end of WWI and the type remained in service until 1926. This superb though non-airworthy replica has recently arrived in the UK from New Zealand. It is destined for the RAF Museum but is on short-term loan to the Shuttleworth Collection.

Operated by 617 Squadron, but still wearing the markings of Marham-based 2 Squadron.

In celebration of the 70th anniversary of 435 Squadron, the Canadian Forces unveiled this C-47, serial 12949, in the colours used by 435 Sqn during the Burma Campaign. The serial KG788 is fake, this aircraft actually was KJ956 (later 12949). The unveiling took place on May 24, 2014 in hangar 16 at 17 Wing in Winnipeg, and in mid September 2014 the aircraft was returned to its old spot next to the Stevenson Parade Square, as seen in this photo. RAF 435 and 436 Squadrons were based in India during the Burma Campaign beginning in 1944, and were critical to getting supplies to difficult areas due to terrain, weather and lack of transportation infrastructure.
