Carries the markings of the RAF's 617 "The Dambusters" Squadron. In addition to its standard "010" tail code, it displays the commemorative code "AJ-N" which was that of one of the Lancasters on "Operation Chastise", the 1943 raid on dams in the Ruhr, Germany. Later joined II(AC) squadron and carried its 100th anniversary special colours. Written off in 2014 due to a bird strike which necessitated an emergency landing at Manston, Kent. Subsequently displayed at the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre.

Although preserved at the heritage centre the aircraft is still owned by the MoD and used by the Joint Aircraft Recovery and Transportation Squadron (JARTS) for exercises. It is preserved in II(AC) Squadron anniversary livery.

One of the few Tornado GR4s to actually wear squadron markings, in this case those of 617 Squadron, "The Dambusters", arguably the most famous RAF squadron in history. Aircraft carrying markings also wear their former wartime code letters, prefixed by "AJ". During the Dams Raids of May 16/17 1943, "AJ-N" was the code carried by Lancaster ED912, the aircraft whose Upkeep bouncing bomb breached the Eder Dam.
