The very last pass by XH558 in Scotland. It returned home with its undercarriage down as a precaution following a snag after its display at the Scottish Airshow the previous day when the nose gear failed to lower completely. Thankfully, after some thirty minutes in the hold above Prestwick, the crew were able to lower the undercarriage successfully.
Four Vulcans XM657, XL427, XM575 and XM648 are about to scramble at the last airshow where Vulcans were present in great numbers. It is a pity that the sound was not saved and attached as in my memory I feel the ground shake. It will be great to see one of these aircraft in the air again soon.
