Powered by a powerful Bristol Centaurus radial, the Tempest II came too late to see action in WWII. Further development led to the Sea Fury. PR536 served with the RAF in India and was transferred to the Royal Indian Air Force as HA457. This is a composite airframe with the forward fuselage of PR536.

This Proctor, G- ALCK was built in 1944 and served as a radio trainer. Transferred to cilvilian ownership in 1949 she lasted only four years before being grounded and joining the Skyframe Collection at Staverton and eventually was acquired by the IWM in 1978.

The One-Eleven was still common at Schiphol in my Praktica days, but I never managed a good picture then or ever since, so I was delighted to photograph ZH763 here at the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre, still looking great after her final flight in 2013 and still not boxed in as usual in museums.
