Caledonian weren't common at Heathrow, this freighter leased from American Airlines on the southern taxiway from the Cargo Terminal for a 28L departure.

First delivered to Laker Airways February 27, 1979, this DC-10 was repossessed when Laker ceased flying in February 1982. Leased to British Caledonian the same month, there would be airline charter name changes to Cal Air International and Novair International Airways when Caledonian merged with British Airways in 1988. Repossessed again when Novair ceased flying in 1990. Sold to IFLC in 1992, the it was converted to a freighter and leased to FedEx in 1994. Registered N10060, FedEx bought the aircraft in 1996 and upgraded it to a MD-10-10F in 2008. It's still current at the time of uploading.

This was the third production 1-11 and was delivered to British United in November 1965. It continued to serve after the merger with Caledonian until sale as N101EX in December 1981.

Operated by British Caledonian Charter from 3.83 until transferred to Cal- Air in 10.85

This is the first VC-10 ever built, which first flew on 29.6.62 from Weybridge. Used for development for the first six years then converted from Srs 1100 to 1109 and operated by MEA and BUA. She was damaged beyond repair in a hard landing at LGW on 28.1.72 and was broken up after a period of storage

I can remember seeing this machine as N525EJ regularly cruising up Red One in the late Sixties in its distinctive red Executive Jet Aviation c/s. Here on a diversion to Heathrow looking immaculate while taxiing out along the southside, she was flown by BCal for 15 years from 6.70 and converted to EC-137D for the USAF using its c/n as serial (with year of construction 67 as FY prefix), entering service in 1992. Into storage at DM in 6.02 and still there

In 8.76 Qantas disposed of VH-EAJ to BCal, who in turn sold it to Uganda Airlines as 5X-UBC in 10.81. W/o Rome FCO on 17.10.88 after striking building while landing in fog

Seen with the Airlink S61 shuttling in from Heathrow behind, the ninth 1-11 built was sold 10 months later as N105EX to Pacific Express
