As Norway never had the PBY-6A with the tall fin this aircraft was restored in 1994 with the smaller fin of the PBY-5A and painted as RAF FP535 to commemorate the real FP535 that served with 330 (Norwegian) Sqn and that had disappeared in Nov 1942 near Iceland

At the time recently placed on gate guard at RAF Wyton after withdrawal from ELINT duties with 51 Sqn there in 11.76. Previously with the RRE. Allocated 8511M but didn't last too long, being scrapped in 11.89. Two other Canberras were displayed but single gate guard policy dictated that WH773 was removed (to Gatwick) while XH170 survives at Wyton
