With "Defence Star Hunter Plane" markings on its nose, this immaculate looking F-4D was shining at the static display during the Phantom farewell ceremony at Suwon. The F-4D was former USAF 65-0732. It was first loaned to the RoKAF in 1972, but transferred to that air force in 1975. The RoKAF F-4Ds were retired in 2010.

Giving a good view of the Harley Light with which the Hunter GA.11 was fitted for tracking purposes.

Now on display here, having recently arrived from Lee-on-Solent.

188732 crashed during a Maple Flag mission while it took part in a mass formation of eight aircraft. The Hornet came down some 30 miles north of CFB Cold Lake (AB) inside the Primrose Air Weapons Range. The pilot was found dead 200 meters from the wreckage and it appeared that he had attempted to eject from the CF-188A prior to colliding with terrain.

Taken on strength by the Royal Canadian Air Force as 12732, 104732 is pictured in it's last days of service. On April 30, 1982 the fighter was engaged in air combat training with a CF-5 when control was lost and it entered a flat spin. Unable to recover, the pilot ejected and the jet crashed on the training range at Cold Lake, AB.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of 32 Kyoiku Hikotai at Hamamatsu, this T-4 was given a special colour scheme in 2010.
