Shipped to Devonport, TAS, for restoration 1997-99. Registered VH-JPV 1 May 1998 & first flight 28 Feb 1999. Currently based at Essendon & seen here at the RAAF Museum Air Pageant where it did a flying display. VH-JPV was acquired by David Warren of Zentel Aviation Pty Ltd in 2016 and is based in Hobart, Tasmania.

A radial-engined version of the Yak-3 fighter was developed into the Yak-1 rainer, which was built in Czechoslavakia as the C.11. This one is painted as a Russian WWII fighter in winter camouflage

The M-4 was final export version and was manufactured from 1983 to 1990. In 1992, just before the split, Czechoslovakia had 49 Su-22M-4s and 8 Su-22UM-3Ks.
