Introducing the brand new Boeing 737-300 ! On her way to the Farnborough air show she called into EMA for home based airline Orion Airways to take a look at. Orion having several examples of the 300 on order. Operated by Boeing but destined for the first operator of the type US Air who put the first example into service on 28 Nov 1984. First flight on 04 May 1984, delivered to US Air on 11 Apr 1985. To N373US on 14 Nov 1988. Rebranded US Airways noted 27 Feb 1997. To Metro Batavia of Indonesia on 03 Jul 2006 as PK-YVY. The airline ceased operations on 31Jan 2012 and she was later scrapped.

Operated by the Central Flying School as part of the Vintage Pair. On a refuelling stop on a sunny Sunday at EMA. Delivered to the RAF on 30 December 1955. Sadly lost in a collision with the Meteor at the Mildenhall Air Fete on 25 May 1986.

Seen parked outside the Fields Hangar. Fields Aircraft Services and Air Bridge Carriers were sister companies. Operated by Air Bridge for Elan Air. To the Royal Malaysian Air Force on 17Jan1964 as FM1022. To British Air Ferries as G-BEYF on 15Aug1977. It spent time on lease with various companies over the years including Occidental Oil, Libyan Arab Airlines, TNT-IPEC of which Elan was a part. Bought by Channel Express Apr1988. Last flight 09Apr1999 at BOH and WFU. This was the last Herald flight. Preserved at Bournemouth Air Museum then scrapped 30Jun2008 with the cockpit being preserved.

To the US register briefly as N501MG on 22 Sep 2000 before going onto the Israeli register as 4X-CMG on 22 Nov 2000. Back to the US register as N520BH on 20 Dec 2006. Reregistered N501WJ on 25 Jan 2008 and still current in Nov 2023.

Leased to Hold Air of Nigeria as 5N-HTB on 29Aug1992. Had an accident Feb2002 and presumed WFU. Seen stored at Kaduna Jan2004.

A rare visitor to EMA on a cargo flight. Global International only existed between 1981 and 1984 and was allegedly involved in illegal arms shipments relating to the Iran-Contra scandal. Delivered to American Airlines as N8417 on 30 Aug 1968. It had two spells in 1971 and 1972 leased to BCAL as G-AYZZ. To Global International on 22 Apr 1981. Repossessed Dec 1984. To Davis-Monthan AFB 21 Nov 1985 for parts for the KC-135 program.

Delivered new to Robert Bosch in Switzerland as HB-VGG on 23 Aug 1979. Transferred to the UK as G-BWCR on 1 May 1995. Reregistered G-JETG Sep 1995. Reregistered to G-DEZC on 28 May 1996. To the Aruba register as P4-AMH on 21 Sep 2005 and based in Russia. Believed still current in 2023 but no recent photos of her. If she is still in Russia I assume she will have been transferred to the Russian register.
