Photo taken by an unknown photographer in the second half of 1954. This aircraft had been VH-BPF with British Commonwealth Pacific Airways, a joint Anglo-Australian-New Zealand airline. BCPA closed down after a major accident and the remaining DC-6s transferred to TEAL, which was another tri-national airline but with a higher New Zealand ownership. VH-BPF became ZK-BGA on May 13, 1954 (ZK-BFA was not taken up, contrary to many sources), and was sold to the New Zealand air force as NZ3631 in 1961, the year TEAL became an entirely New Zealand-owned airline. TEAL would later change its name to Air New Zealand. Negative held by Bill Gray, Perth, Australia.

VH-CHJ was registered in October 1969 and remained current in August 2017.

VH-CHI was registered from June 1968 until it was reregistered VH-TPZ in March 1999.

VH-CGS was registered in January 1976 and remained registered in August 2017.

ZS-SAG was delivered to SAA in 1969. It ended up with the Israeli Air Force in 1983.

VH-CGE was registered from June 1978 to October 2000 when it reregistered VH-NRE. It is not known if "La Belle Ciseau" (The Beautiful Scissor) was the name of the operator or the aircraft.

Civil Aerial Surveys was a division of Civil Flying Services, which received VH-CFV in July 1966.

VH-CFU was delivered to Civil Flying Services in January 1967.

Ex VH-DMF, VH-CFQ was registered in November 1967.

Delivered to the Canadian Armed Forces in 1970. Ended up with the USAF as E-8C JSTARS 97-0201.

VH-CFF was registered in March 1965 but at the end of 1966 it was switched to VH-CEH.

Damaged by fire at Kingscote, South Australia, in 1984 and written off.

VH-CFA was initially registered to Civil Flying Services in November 1967. Phillip Island is famed for its fairy penguin colony, hence the logo.

ZS-SAL served SAA from 1972 until withdrawn from use in 2004 and scrapped.

SkyWest operated VH-CEK on behalf of Australian Customs. The aircraft was transferred to the Indonesian Navy in 1997.

VH-CEA was registered from July 1966 until reregistered VH-OKL in January 2012

VH-CDD was registered in Australia in 1965. The wing tip tanks gave the Comanche 6½ hours endurance, ideal for crossing the vast emptiness of outback Australia.

13702 served the Canadian military from 1970 to 1993. After a brief civil career it went to the USAF for modification into an E-8C JSTARS.

Owned by Singapore Airlines from 1980 to 1991.

VH-CBW was flown by Nationwide Air Service on behalf of the commission. It had previously been used by Cheynes Beach Whaling Company for whale spotting. VH-CBW was withdrawn from use in 1982.
