Built in July 1934 as part of an order for launch customer TWA, it was soon disposed of as the DC-3 became available to them and was purchased by Braniff. Delivered on July 2, 1935, to Braniff at what is probably the site of the current Oklahoma City airport. A few years later it was sold to Boston & Maine Airways re registered as NC242. By the late 1940s, "1030" had been sold to Wisconsin Air Central re-registered NC842. "1030" was then sold to Cordova Air Service in Alaska and registered N842 on 6 February 1952. From a 1937 image showing one of the Braniff Airlines fleet at what is probably the site of the current Oklahoma City airport. Although the registration letters are mostly obscured, this is also most certainly Lockheed Vega NC12288 (later N12288). Constructed in March 1933 by ex-employees of the bankrupt Detroit Aircraft who had purchased a majority interest in Lockheed in 1929. The aircraft was originally owned by Morrell Meat Packing Company but was modified for Braniff use. It later passed to other owners and was later wrecked. The remains were recovered and restored to flying condition.

The colours on this Boeing 727 are that of its former owner Torosair for which it flew for only a few months in 1988 / 1989. It was sold and officialy registered as N3211M ending up at Oklahoma City Airport in 1992. Here it was used as an instructional airframe for the aviation department of the Metro Technology Center in Oklahoma City until it was broken up in April 2010.

Ordered by the USAAF as 44-77027 and delivered to the US Navy as R4D-7 99856 in 1945. To the CAA as N7091C then N34 in 1957. Renamed to FAA in 1958. Retired in 1983. Being restored when this photo was taken. Used in the FAA's aviation educational programs to promote aviation and the FAA's heritage. Last flight to the Texas Air & Space Museum in Amarillo, Texas in 2014.

Test reg N2255C before delivery to the FAA as N86 in 1967. Cancelled from the register in 1992. Scrapped at Oklahoma City.

Ex N65162, falsely painted as USAAF "892953". Photographed at the Metro Tech Campus at Will Rogers Airport, Oklahoma City, allegedly preserved, but was not in good condition at the time. It was restored and displayed at the Midwest City Veterans Memorial in the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park in Midwest City, OK (GPS location: N35.46185 W97.37152) on 3 Dec 2017.

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-68834 in 1943. To NC86562 in 1946, N86562 after 1948, N20W in 1953 and N130Q in 1966. Still current on the register in 2021.

Test reg 4X-CNT in 1979 then to N701Z in 1980, N701W in 1981 and N274K in 1982. To Alliance Air Parts for parting out in 2011.

Moved to the 45th Infantry Museum, Oklahoma City in 1995 and repainted as 72-240.

Reregistered N812TC in 1989.
