Delivered to the US Navy as R6D-1 Bu131573 in 1952. Redesignated as a C-118B in 1962. Transferred to the USAF around 1962. Preserved at Altus AFB, OK from 1983. Scrapped in 1999.

Ordered by the USAAF as 44-77027 and delivered to the US Navy as R4D-7 99856 in 1945. To the CAA as N7091C then N34 in 1957. Renamed to FAA in 1958. Retired in 1983. Being restored when this photo was taken. Used in the FAA's aviation educational programs to promote aviation and the FAA's heritage. Last flight to the Texas Air & Space Museum in Amarillo, Texas in 2014.

In the FAA hangar at OKC. Delivered to the FAA as N53 in 1975. Sold as N72028 in 1997. To Dodson International at Rantoul, KS in 1999 for parts. Still there in 2017.

Test reg N2255C before delivery to the FAA as N86 in 1967. Cancelled from the register in 1992. Scrapped at Oklahoma City.

This aircraft is ex ZS-ATL and never actually flew for the SAAF. It was delivered to South African Airways and named "Jan van Riebeeck". Moving on to Comair and later to the SAAF Museum where it is now displayed at AFB Swartkop. Here it is at Lanseria without its wing during preparation for display.

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-92838 in 1944. Sold as NC65162 in 1945, N65162 after 1948. Cancelled from the register in 1977. Preserved at Oklahoma State Fairgrounds, Oklahoma City, OK. Repainted as 892953 by 1993. Moved to the Metro Tech Aviation Career Campus in 2006 and moved to the Veterans Memorial at Joe B Barnes Regional Park, Midwest City, OK (GPS location: N35.46185 W97.37152) in Dec 2017.

Delivered to the USAAF as 42-68834 in 1943. To NC86562 in 1946, N86562 after 1948, N20W in 1953 and N130Q in 1966. Still current on the register in 2021.

Test reg 4X-CNT in 1979 then to N701Z in 1980, N701W in 1981 and N274K in 1982. To Alliance Air Parts for parting out in 2011.

Prototype Aero Commander. Was preserved at Oklahoma State Fairgrounds, Oklahoma City. No longer there.
