DHC-2 Beaver in the Aviation museum without any serial number on it. Originally delivered to the Pakistan Government in 1966, transferred to China around 1970. First noticed preserved in the Aviation Enthusiast Center in Shanghai, later moved to this museum north of Beijing. It has always been here without markings, but has been identified by similar damages as noticed on 981.

The photographer flew on this 1940 aircraft and some of the pictures in his series were taken at Vero Beach, Florida. Shortly hereafter on 30 July, N19963 collided with an F6F Hellcat, BuNo 72887, over Chesterfield, New Jersey, and crashed. Originally built for the USAAF as 42-3877, this Dakota took part in the D-Day operations on 6 June 1944. In 1946 she joined the fleet of Skandinaviska Aero. The following year Skadinaviska Aero was taken over by AB Aerotransport (ABA) who in turn were merged with SILA-Svensk Interkontinental Lufttrafik AB, a founding member of SAS and serving briefly with that airline before moving on the Swedish Air Force in November 1948 where it served until struck of charge in 1984. Later she served the Swedish parachute regiment and has since 2009 been on display at the regiment's Karlsborg camp.
