Well preserved inside a hangar at Rio Cuarto, C-717 has been quoted as the last active Mirage IIIC variant in the world. Although no longer active when this picture was taken, it deserves a better place of retirement than a dark hangar at the overhaul centre.

This L-39 was built in August 1976 and TOC by the Czechoslovak AF. In July 1996, L-39C 4357 and L-39V 0745 collided during training of the acrobatic group White Albatross. The L-39C pilots ejected safely and their plane crashed in an industrial zone in Košice, fortunately without any injuries or major property damage. The pilot of 0745 landed at LZKZ despite extensive damage to the rear fuselage. The frame was repaired and eventually retired in May 2007. It is now undergoing restoration for display at this super museum.
