This Winjeel is really A85-443 and was delivered to the RAAF in Dec '56: alotted to 1 BFTS. The only Winjeel experimentally painted in the 'Fanta Can' scheme, named 'Fancy Nancy'. Later to 76 Sqn Williamtown as a FAC trainer. Disposal '95 & reg VH-XRA 28 Mar 96. Rest 07/08 at Caboolture and repainted as A85-404 as flown by 34 Sqn RAAF Fairbairn in the early '60s. Seen here taxying in from a display at the Houdini-Centenary Air Show.

Following RAAF service as A85-440, it was delivered to the Hobart, Tas, branch of the Air Training Corps at Cambridge in 1976. In 1985 it was acquired by a private owner in Horsham, Vic, in 1985 and registered VH-HFM on 27 June that year. Later moved to Donald, then changed hands in July 1997 and moved to Boort.
