Low viz unit badge on air intake. Taken just before being sent to ASA conversion. Now preserved on a pole since 2004 in Lignano Sabbiadoro with the livery of the other unit thas was part of 5 Stormo, into which served during the last two years of its operational life.

Preserved on this pole since 2004, it has been recently repainted in the full grey livery

The Piazza Pasqualino Gorga in Lignano holds this F-104S-ASA-M MM6796.

On display at a roundabout in Lignano Sabbiadoro and dedicated as a memorial to former Frecce Tricolori pilot Maj Pasqualino Gorga who was killed whilst flying RF-104G MM6646/3/50. The plane was in a formation of three that had departed Villafranca and were practicing manoeuvres over the sea near Marano Lagunare (off Udine). The Major, whilst attempting to rejoin the other two aircraft, flew a tight left turn but lost situational awareness and crashed into the water.
