The aircraft had previously been operated for United Express by Presidential Airways as N802XV, but had been stored at LAS after the Presidential bankruptcy the previous October. When photographed it was being readied for lease to Bahamasair and became a long term member of their fleet, serving with them until April 2016 when it was withdrawn and flown to St. Johns, NL., for parting out.

California Air Shuttle was a new airline based out of Oxnard, CA., with 2 two leased Metroliners, the other being N1010Z. Flights from Oxnard to Las Vegas started in January 1990 but were limited to Las Vegas as plans to add service to Bay Area airports failed to gain approval. Sadly the airline struggled to fill seats, and with increased fuel costs due the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait, it ceased operations in December 1990, less than a year after starting.

The aircraft was withdrawn from use at Greenwood-Leflore Airport, MS., in May 2003 and the registration cancelled as "Destroyed" in September of that year. This registration is now carried by a FedEx B767-300F.

Noted in 2020 as with the American Airpower Heritage Museum, Dallas TX as N346AB.

Last noted as registered N345AB to the National Warplane Museum, Geneseo NY in 2005. Indications are that it is still there in 2020 painted as 330652.

Owned by Skycraft Air Transport. Registered N347AB Sep 93 and preserved in the 1952 Northeast Airlines livery at the Dakota Aviation Museum, Hampton NH.
