On display during a stopover on its journey from the US to Normandy to take part in the 70th anniversary celebrations of D-Day and doing para jumps again, 7 decades later. The aircraft was the lead ship of the 37th Troop Carrier Squadron, dropping elements of the 82nd Airborne Division near St. Mere Eglise, France in the early hours of June 6th, 1944.

Delivered to the USAAF as 43-30652 in 1943. Sold as NC65135 in 1945. Reregistered as N65135 after 1948, CF-RTB in 1963 and N345AB in 1994.

Taxying for departure after a 3 day stay en-route to Normandy to celebrate the 70th anniversary of D-Day. The aircraft had been there already on the 6th June 1944.

Former US Army Air Force 43-30652 is pictured withdrawn from use in Gateway Airlines colors. The aircraft later became N345AB with the 1941 Historical Aircraft Group Museum in Geneco, NY.
