At this time German airlines were not allowed to operate into West Berlin. rather PAA, BAW and AFR undertook these services. Zehlendorf is a suburb of Berlin in what was the American sector, hence this aircraft is named 'Clipper Zehlendorf'.
At that time I owned only a 135mm lens so didn't have a lot of flexibility with my shot angles. Anyway, I was very young and knew only that I loved to photograph airliners. My old shots aren't great but I'm glad I have them in my collection and, hopefully, they bring back some wonderful airliner memories.
