This 1982 model MBB Bo105 CBS-4, N2907T wearing the titles "MedEvac1" was photographed departing Manhattan's East 34th Street heliport after dropping off a patient. The helicopter was based at Allentown-Sacred Heart hospital (now Lehigh Valley Hospital) Allentown/PA at the time. Later operated by EMS Air Services of NY Inc. from a base in Canandaigua, NY before being exported to Surinam where it was flew withPegasus Air Services at PZ-HAK.

In 1984, this Bell JetRanger II was on contract to DHL to fly courier packages between points in the New York City area. It was photographed landing at the East 34th Street heliport with the East River and the Queensboro Bridge in the background. In 2021, this aircraft was flying in California as N422SD

Port Authority of New York and New Jersey MBB Bo 105, N9380A, takes off from the Battery Park heliport at the southwest tip of Manhattan. The Port Authority acquired its first helicopter in 1950 (Bell 47D) and grounded its last helicopters (S-76C) in 2010. During the reconstruction of the Wall Street/Downtown Manhattan Heliport between 1983 and 1987, some operations were shifted to the Battery Park Heliport to the west, which was constructed by the Port Authority on a landfill that later became home for the Battery Park City neighbourhood.

This early serial number Aerospatiale SA-360C Dauphin (msn 1004) was operating scheduled passenger flights from Manhattan's East 34th Street Heliport in April 1984, probably to JFK. It was probably the first Dauphin imported to the USA by Aerospatiale Helicopter Corp. in Texas since it was already N47284 when displayed at the 1976 Reading Airshow. New York Helicopter, Island Helicopter, and National Helicopter were sister companies. They were all evicted from E34th St. heliport in August 1997 after owing unpaid rent on the heliport they had also managed. Rotorspot says this 360C is preserved.

New York City's East 60th Street heliport opened on Nov. 4, 1968 and ordered closed by Mayor Rudy Giuliani at the end of February 1998. In 1982, Pan Am contracted Omniflight Helicopter Services to operate a free helicopter service for all of its first-class and Clipper-Class passengers between the East 30th Street Heliport and the airline's Worldport Terminal at JFK Airport utilizing Bell 222As and later the Westland WG30. This 222A was seen taking off for JFK in April 1984. It later flew with operators in New Zealand (ZK-HFQ), Turkey (TC-HMH) and South Africa (ZS-HMS) before it was retired.

This Sikorsky S-58T was flying scheduled passenger services between Manhattan's East 34th Street heliport (6N5) and JFK Airport in April 1984. After serving with the German Army and Navy since 1963, it was purchased by Sikorsky in 1973 for conversion to a S-58ET with a twin-turbine P&WC PT6T Twin Pac replacing the Wright R-1820 Cyclone. It flew with Air Greenland as OY-HBG, "Taliffak", between 1975 and 1982 until sold to the US. New York Helicopters (and its two sister companies) flew it 1982-1998. It was sold to St Louis Helicopters in Nov 1998 (for spare parts?) and canceled in July 1999.

Obviously, this G-II from 1975 spent its whole life being registered in Mexico with various owners. In 2018, it came to an US bizjet seller as N735TG, only to be sold again to an new Mexican owner a few months later. The aircraft is seen here as part of the fleet of the Comision Federal de Electricidad, based at Mexico City.

This aircraft was at this time the unique worldwide flying aircraft of this type. It had the markings of Groupe de Chasse (GC) 1/3 and 1st Flight badge of SPA 88 "Serpent".Wfu on 23 July 1986 at Vannes airfield during an airshow killing the French Air Force pilot C. Bove. The Dewoitine D.520 was the best French fighter in May 1940. It was even better than German Messerchmitt ME 109E in maneuverability.

VH-UEE was registered in 1932 and operated in Tasmania for the next three years. Reregistered VH-BQE in 1952. Withdrawn from use in 1961 at Bourke, NSW. Donated to the Airforce Association, Launceston, Tasmania, in 1962 but not shipped to Tasmania until 1966. Restored and displayed as VH-UEE at Launceston airport.
