Sold to Associated Intl. Inc. of Tampa, FL., in September 1983 and passed to Apollo Airlines of Orlando, FL., in March 1984, it was transferred to Four Star Aviation Inc. of St. Thomas, VI., as N134FS in June 1988. Tragically the aircraft was destroyed, and the 2 crew killed, on 10th May 1991 when it crashed due to loss of power from the left engine shortly after take-off from Aguadilla-Borinquen Airport, PR.

It's ironic that that this aircraft was painted to depict a military C-47, wearing the faux serial "0795405", displayed outside the 305th Bomb Group Restaurant at Sarasota-Bradenton Airport, FL., as it had no military history being delivered to United Air Lines in 1937 and serving with them until 1954. It was later displayed outside the Air Transport Command Restaurant at New Castle County Airport, DE., but lapsed into dereliction there following its closure and was later donated to the Massey Air Museum at Massey Aerodrome, MD., where it has now been restored to static display condition.
