Ten years later it went in storage at DM AFB but emerged in 1991 for conversion to a QF-106 drone, becoming Tyndall-based. It returned to DM in 1998 but was selected for preservation in the Aerospace Museum at Hill AFB, UT, where it has undergone a superb restoration for display in the marks of its first unit, the 456th FIS (Castle)
