Negative from FNG archive. On 18 September 1968 1.FC Nürnberg was hosting Ajax Amsterdam in the first round of the European Cup of the National Champions. An early lead by Nürnberg was compensated late in the 80th minute by the legendary Johan Cruyff thus ending the match in a draw. A large followership of Dutch fans was flown in on special charters amonst them Martinair's DC-8-33 PH-DCD, DC-7C PH-DSO and DC-9-33RC PH-MAN, delivered only 4 months before.
