The SPAD XIII C.1 was essentially a larger version of the SPAD VII with a more powerful V-8 Hispano-Suiza engine. This example was built too late to see any combat but was shipped to the US after the end of WWI. It carried the registration N2030A and is now on display at the National Museum of the USAF.

This extremely versatile aircraft flew a variety of missions including observation, helicopter escort, armed reconnaissance, utility/cargo, Medevac and limited ground attack, however, it was as a FAC aircraft for the USAF in SE Asia that it really came into its own. This Bronco came to the National Museum of the USAF in 1991 and wears its original SE Asia markings.

It is no exaggeration to say that the modest and unassuming DHC-2 is one aircraft type that deserves to be labelled as 'great'. The USAF flew more than 200 of the military U-6 variant for Medevac, courier service, passenger transport, light cargo, reconnaissance, rescue and aerial photography missions, the type even saw service in both the Korean and Southeast Asia Wars. This example is now on display at the National Museum of the USAF.
