Built as C-47B 43-49442 but delivered direct to the US Navy as R4D-6 50811 in 11.44. Later designated C-47J. Served many USN units until retired to Pensacola in 05.73. Loaned to the Robins Museum and painted as "Saylor's Trailer" in 9th AF scheme with "serial" '4349442'.
Ex US Navy P2V-7S (SP-2H) Neptune 147954 displayed to represent a USAF RB-69A "44037" (54-4037) which was shot down by a Chinese AF MiG-17 on 11.06.64 during a CIA mission from Taiwan. The original 44037 was ex USN 135612.
Originally N6185X. Seized by US Marshals after accident in New Mexico while drug running in 1975. Taken on charge by the United States Air Force as 63-7948 in 1980 and reportedly operated by the US Customs as N37948. To the museum in 1987. Scrapped around 2013.
The Air Logistics Center at Warner Robins assumed responsibility for all USAF C-119s until final type retirement in the 1970s. This C-119C on display at the Museum of Aviation was delivered to the USAF in Oct. 1951 and served until being retired in 1966 and it's subsequent acquisition by the museum in 1986.
