First 720 built. N7201U was sold to Contemporary Entertainment, owned by singer Bobby Sherman and his manager, Ward Sylvester, in January 1973. It was first painted in a gold and black livery and christened "The Starship". As a VIP transport, it was used by rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper, Bob Dylan and Elton John. John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, and Cher were passengers at one time or another. In 1970 Vance International Airways was purchased by McCulloch Oil Company, changing the name to McCulloch International Airlines. Re-equipped with American Airlines Lockheed Electras, they flew potential land buyers to properties near Lake Havasu City, AZ. This aircraft would see the color scheme updated by changing the green cheat line to red and eventually adding the McCulloch logo. Later with Ansett ANA and Evergreen International Airlines, the aircraft was with the Armada Argentina as 6-P-101 when it crashed on September 29, 1989 at Almirante Zar Naval Air Station at Trelew, Argentina.

An ex-United Airlines 720 seen at MIA during the few months it was leased by McCulloch in 1975-76.

Withdrawn from use

One of McCulloch International's 12 Electras, in Toronto to transport potential customers to one of the parent company's land developement sites. Former American Airlines Electra would be leased to Pacific Southwest Airlines a couple of times before being sold in 1979 to the Honduran Air Force becoming 555 (later HR-EMA). Presently with Air Spray in Canada as C-GNPB.

Still carrying Gary Wright stickers after its use by the singer. N7201U was most famously Led Zeppelin's tour jet in the 1970s, featuring in the band's concert movie "Song Remains the Same". Starship One was scrapped in 1982.

Delivered new to American Airlines in February 1960. Sold to McCulloch in February 1969, here with colours and logo applied but still devoid of titles. Later to Ansett as VH-RMG as a freighter.

McCulloch operated several ex AA Electras, this one is at the ONA maintenance hangar at Wilmington.
