Leased to Saber Air as 9V-BEH between 12 Nov 1971 and 07 Jan 1973 then returned to TIA. Sold to Nordair as C-GNDA on 21 Oct 1974. To Evergreen as N810EV on 06 Dec 1978. Sold to UPS on 29 May 1985. Converted to a DC-8-71CF. Reregistered N702UP in Aug 1985. WFU 2009. Scrapped. In the background are 3 Dan-Air Comets and a BCAL 707.

slide scan from the NK collection. - Saber Air of Singapore was an independent taxi- and charter airline, which started with DHC-6s and leased this single DC-8 between 1971 and 1973, when operations were suspended again. The aircraft returned to lessor Trans International, and after more than 35 further years of various airline services it ended up as Roswell as N702UP ex UPS.

Later registrations C-GNDA, N810EV, N702UP. Converted to a freighter and re-engined as a DC-8-71CF later in its lifetime.

Previously owned by Nordair as C-GNDA and Trans International Airlines as N8961T before that. Later flew with UPS as N702UP.

Originally delivered to Trans International Airlines June 16, 1967, Nordair owned this DC-8 from October 1974 to December 1978. After Nordair, it was all cargo work for this airplane . It was upgraded to a 71 series in 1985.
