Wind conditions favoured a takeoff from Campbell River's inner harbour beside the seaplane docks. Seen here climbing out and turning away past Tyee Spit at the river mouth.

This aircraft was originally built as a C-45F, serial no. 44-47849, c/n 8057. It was rebuilt by Beech as a TC-45G, serial no. 51-11595, with the new c/n AF-152. in 1964 to the prototype Infinite' II, using the original tail unit, and registered N445DM. It was later modified again with a triple-fin tail, to become the prototype Dumod Liner. It was cancelled from the US civil register 30 Nov 2020.

Remanufactured from C-45F 44-47455 c/n 7863 for the USAF as TC-45G 51-11527 in 1952. Later to the Peruvian Air Force as 709. To OB-E-929 in 1968. Withdrawn from use in 1978.

Remanufactured from C-45F 44-47454 c/n 7862 for the USAF as 51-11541 in 1952. To N9858Z in 1965. Crashed on takeoff at Chicago-O'Hare in 1971. Remains to the museum. Discovered in 2021 in Michigan at 41.8035, -86.1310.

Preserved at a roundabout near the site of the former Kandara airport in Jeddah. It's in fair condition, but without any registration or markings. The Twin Beech was abandoned at the old airport in 1969, and was serving as a gate guard to the airport by 1980. The old Kandara airport was closed circa 1981 and had been largely built over by 2000. But the Beech 18 remained at the same location, and as such it ended up in downtown Jeddah without being moved. By 1999 it had been placed on display on a plinth at a nearby roundabout.
