Former Alaska Airlines (and later operating for BP Alaska) 727 N797AS was sold to Bradley Air Services in December 1985 and flown under their First Air name. The first 727 for the airline, the aircraft was operated until June 2000. It was then used by Canada's National Research Council for aging airframe investigation and broken up by November 2007.

This is the "Prospector" livery, one of the four used in the early-mid 1970s. The history of the origins of this tail scheme are still vague but many say it was a liking of prospector and "con" artist Soapy Smith from the Klondike Gold Rush era.

Delivered new 7th March 1968 and it was destroyed by fire after running into a building at PANC (Anchorage) 9th June 1987

Ex Alaska Airlines N797AS, registered 31st Dec 1985 and wfu CYOW 10th June 2000 and after years of storage it was scrapped Nov 2007

Alaska Airlines leased one of Eastern Airlines' 727s before taking delivery of this, their own first 727 from Boeing on October 27, 1966. Sold to Bradley Air Services for their scheduled First Air service in December 1985 as C-FRST . The airliner was retired in 2000 at Ottawa, ONT and used by Canada's National Research Council for aging airframe investigation. Broken up in 2007.
