This UH-19D was in storage by the USAF Museum restoration hangars across the airfield from the museum when I took this slide. It is now at the Museum of Aviation at Warner Robins AFB, Georgia, but is currently being restored and not on display as of July 2022.

I took this slide from a US Navy C-9B taxiing out for a flight from Seoul to NAF Atsugi, Japan. This UH-19D was delivered to the US Army on 28 February 1958, and at a later date was transferred to the Republic of Korea Air Force. This UH-19D still exists, and is on display at the Korean Aerospace Institute Museum at Sacheon Airport.

A four fold increase in the production of cherries in Washington State between 1999 and 2017 (26.5 million 20-pound boxes) is behind a major increase in the number of helicopters under contract to area growers to fan rainwater off maturing fruit to prevent splitting between May and August. This includes a remarkable fleet of about 15 Sikorsky S-55s operated by Golden Wings Aviation's Dave Smith (in 2016) and nine S-58s operated by VI 1 LLC based at Anderson Field in Brewster, WA and the nearby Monse heliport. This S-55 (ex 54-1422) and 14 others were re-registered to Sierra Aeronautics LLC of KY in 2021.

Became the basis of an Guangzhou-Orlando S-55 Bearcat, built by Guangzhou Machinery Tool Company.

Early transport helicopters were burdened by the weight of their piston engines, in this case a 700-hp Wright R-1300 Cyclone. 52-7602 was delivered to the US Army on 14 September 1953. To N55233 in 1971. N55233 cancelled in 2013.

This is a view of the Bissell Auto & Body boneyard in Choutou Ave., St. Louis. The Chickasaw N37800 was previously 55-4944 with the US Army and substantially damaged in accidents in 1986 (repaired) and 1992 (w/o). The Shawnee is 56-4353 and the Mohawk 59-2608.

This vintage helicopter, which hasn't flown for years, was blown over by Hurricane Irma on September 10, 2017. Ex US Army 57-1627, delivered April 8, 1958.
