Delivered to the RAF in September 1964 and having operated with the Scampton and Waddington Wings, XM653 was sold for scrap in July 1981

Delivered in September 1962 and serving 83 Sqdn, Scampton Wing, 27 & 617 Sqdns, 230 OCU and 50 Sqdn/Waddington Wing, this Vulcan made its last flight to Southend for preservation in December 1986. Registered as G-VJET in 1987 in the hope of a return to display flying, the aircraft is no longer airworthy but is maintained by the Vulcan Restoration Trust in taxiable condition

Scrapped at Waddington 1982.

Display by Vulcan from the Waddington Wing (City of Lincoln arms on fin) which included touch and goes in both runway directions. Last flight 16th September 1981 to St. Athan where it was scrapped in January 1982.
