Delivered to the RAF in January 1963 and serving 27 Sqdn, the Cottesmore and Waddington Wing/44 Sqdn, this Vulcan was ferried to Cardiff for the Wales Aircraft Museum in January 1983. The climate was not kind to the airframe and when the museum closed in 1996 it was scrapped, although the nose was saved and is now at Staverton.
