Delivered to SAS on 13 Oct 1978 as OY-KGS. WFU 10 Dec 2001 at CPH. Ferried to Roswell 26 Jun 2002. Last noted 26 Oct 2004 and later scrapped. In an experimental all natural metal colour scheme which unfortunately was not taken up for the fleet.

In bare metal colours. It was later painted into the normal colours. Delivered to SAS as OY-KGS in 1978. Last flight to Roswell, NM in 2002. Allocated reg N66XS which was probably not applied. Last seen in 2005. Scrapped.

Hall Viking was the first of the the last 4 DC-9-41s delivered new to SAS in a "natural metal" livery which was nice in bright sunlight, and rather dull in grey weather. Due to corrosion, these four DC-9s were among the first aircraft to be repainted to the new white livery adopted in 1983. Wfu in 2001 after 23 years for SAS. Later a few years as N66XS before broken up.

SAS operated four DC-9 aircraft in this bare metal version of their livery. It was an experiment to see if it reduced maintenance costs. Presumably it didn't impress as the livery was short lived.
