Painted in pale pink camouflage for sunrise and sunset operations, this replica represents a Spitfire PR Mk IG, which served as a photo reconnaissance aircraft with No.1 PRU and was originally piloted by James Morgan. Morgan would go on to command 682 Squadron in Italy.

Seen as Sywell a 1943 Castle Bromwich built Spitfire LF.IXe MH415. On the UK register as G-AVDJ. Owned by Air Leasing Ltd. Operational during WWII with 129, 222 & 126 Sqns. After the war with the Dutch as H-108 and H-65 then Belgium as SM-40. Later Belgian civil register as a target Tug OO-ARD. Has stared in some movies including The Longest Day and the Battle of Britain. Moved to the USA in 1969 and was registered N415MH and painted into 222 Squadron markings as ZD-E. Into storage in 1973 Purchased in 2014. Shipped to Scone, Australia for long rebuild back to flying condition. To the UK 2020.
