The Shiden or 'George' was unusually developed from a floatplane fighter, the N1K Kyofu or 'Rex'. It was a formidable dogfighting aircraft, despite technical issues that were solved in the N1K2-J Shiden Kai with low-set wing. This is assumed to be c/n 5511, Imperial Japanese Navy tail code 201-53, which was captured in the Philippines in January 1945 and given identification number S7 by TAIU-SWPA at Clark Field. It only flew once as such as the undercarriage collapsed on landing. Note that US insignia are a bit off, with old-fashioned rudder striping serving as a warning to Allied pilots. The very last T-23 Uirapuru operated by the Bolivian air force was FAB-183, seen here at its homebase El Trompillo where it was flown by Grupo Aéreo de Entrenamiento 21, part of the Colegio Militar de Aviación (COLMILAV).

Registered as VR-NAQ in 1955 then G-ARKU and to the Royal Navy as XR443 in 1961. Sold as G-ODLG in 1990 then VH-NJP in 1993. Preserved at Sharjah with fake registration G-ANFE from 2003.

Leased to Corendon Dutch Airlines for the 2nd time but now in full World2Fly colours with additional smaller Corendon titles
