Delivered to Northwest Orient Airlines as N153US in 1973. Renamed to Northwest Airlines in 1986. Withdrawn from use at Greenwood, MS in 2002 and scrapped in 2007.

By 1998: Based at Franklin, VA; WFU; degraded to derelict with one engine missing. 2/14: Peter Smith, Reevers Warbirds, Adelai, Australia. By 2017 it was restored as a B-25J.

This Vulcan was in the U.S. to perform in the Chicago Air and Water Show along the Lake Michigan waterfront in Chicago on 26 & 27 July 1980. All the military aircraft staged out of NAS Glenview, IL. which was just north of the city and a short flight to the show site. XL443 was in RAF service from 1962 through 1982.
