Now carrying "Vusumzi - I Am, We Are" titles, Vusumzi apparently means "one who restores and builds the family". It has 'A Step Ahead' and 'Odysseus' titles on the other side under the fire practice scorch marks. The (ex) Westwind in front is (was) N89XL

This was the first prototype for the DC-6 series which first flew on 15 February 1946 as XC-112A USAAF 45-873. Converted to DC-6 standard in 1956, but was never allocated a Douglas line number (the first production DC-6 c/n 42854 was line number 1). Operated by TASSA of Spain from May 1963 until June 1965. Aviaco DC-6B EC-ASS (c/n 44695) is in the background. The public roof terraces are at the left.
