This was at the height of the miners strike and there were a number of charters into EMA bringing police officers from various parts of the UK to police the picket lines of the coal mines in the Midlands. A rare visitor to EMA on a cargo flight. Global International only existed between 1981 and 1984 and was allegedly involved in illegal arms shipments relating to the Iran-Contra scandal. Delivered to American Airlines as N8417 on 30 Aug 1968. It had two spells in 1971 and 1972 leased to BCAL as G-AYZZ. To Global International on 22 Apr 1981. Repossessed Dec 1984. To Davis-Monthan AFB 21 Nov 1985 for parts for the KC-135 program.

Delivered new to Robert Bosch in Switzerland as HB-VGG on 23 Aug 1979. Transferred to the UK as G-BWCR on 1 May 1995. Reregistered G-JETG Sep 1995. Reregistered to G-DEZC on 28 May 1996. To the Aruba register as P4-AMH on 21 Sep 2005 and based in Russia. Believed still current in 2023 but no recent photos of her. If she is still in Russia I assume she will have been transferred to the Russian register.

Registered new as G-BJBG on 25 June 1981. To G-BLEC with Lec Refrigeration (UK) Plc on 28 October 1983. To Greece as SX-DKA also with Lec on 30 March 1993. To Roraima Airways in Guyana as 8R-GRC in January 1997 and still active in November 2023.

Seen at East Midlands prior to delivery. First flight as G-31-633 on 30 April 1984. Delivered to Jetstream International Airlines as N825JS on 26 July 1984. WFU and stored at Little Rock AR in March 1991. Broken up at Kingman AZ in January 1997. Sadly another Jetstream with a short life.

Operated by IDS Aircraft Ltd. This aircraft spent it whole life on the UK register. Delivered new to IDS as G-JETC on 28 May 81. Reregistered to G-JCFR on 14 July 1995. Back to G-JETC on 29 April 2002. Broken up at Southend by 06 February 2013 and registration cancelled on 07 January 2014.

Delivered new to Peregrine AS as G-BKHI on 30 December 1982. Later to SE-IPC, OY-CLC, LN-FAL and N78019. Registration cancelled in August 2013 as PWFU and since scrapped.

Seen visiting East Midlands along with XW849 / V. The operating unit is 3CBAS. Delivered as XW851 on 19 June 1973. WFU at Shawbury on 23 November 2004. The fuselage pod has since gone to a private owner.

Delivered new to Manx Airlines as G-ISLE on 28 March 1984. Later operated by Loganair and British Regional Airlines. To Aerocondor as CS-TMN on 23 December 1998. Later with Air Este who ceased ops in Apr 2008. Possibly stored at Cascais.

This aircraft had a short life. Registered to Shorts as G-BLGC in April 1984. Delivered to Aer Lingus Commuter as EI-BEM on 21 June 1984. She crashed 3 kms short of the runway at East Midlands on a flight from Dublin on 31 January 1986. Luckily there were no fatalities.

Seen temporarily WFU at East Midlands. Delivered new to Pakistan International as AP-AJF on 31 August 1959. To the UK register as G-AVJB on 21 March 1967. It flew with several different UK airlines until going to Sweden as SE-IVY on 03 November 1986 with Baltic Aviation. WFU and stored in December 1987. Preserved in the High Chapparal Theme Park in Sweden.
