This early DC-9 was delivered to Trans World Airlines in April 1966. Texas International first leased it from September 1974 - December 1975. After returning the aircraft to TWA, they bought it in September 1977. When Texas International merged with Continental Airlines in 1982, it was registered N654TX. Going to Colombia to Intercontinental de AviaciĆ³n S.A. (HK-3832X) in March 1993, the airliner was last with Aerocaribe in Mexico registered XA-SSW from July 1994 until stored at Mexico City in January 2002. It was later scrapped.
