Built as a E18S in 1956, this Beech 18 was converted to a Super Turbo Tradewind in 1966. Ministic Air bought it from Union Flights (N25SM) in January 1991. Unfortunately the aircraft undershot an approach in poor weather and impacted a frozen lake at Little Grand Rapids, MB on May 2, 1992. Wreckage was recovered from the lake by K & K Aircraft and taken to Bridgewater, VA as a source of parts.

The VIA Seawind, seen here taxiing on the Fraser River, was a one-off conversion by Vancouver Island Air, seen here docked at its Campbell River home base. It had increased seating for 12 pax, 3-bladed props, enlarged floats, an extended nose and a PAC Tradewind single tail. It first flew as such on 23 August 1994. Unfortunately on 20 April 2007 this unique aircraft crashed immediately after lift-off from Topaze Harbour near Jackson Bay, BC, Canada. One engine lost power and the aircraft yawed and crashed back onto the water, causing one float to break off. It sank within a minute.

This was once a regular tail-dragging twin-tail Beech 18 (C-45G 51-11851), but in 1969 it was converted into this very different-looking PAC Tradewind, with a single fin and a nose gear. Stored at Merrill Field since the early 2000s, and starting circa 2010 it was slowly being stripped of parts. It was still there by early 2018, but by then in pityful condition, laying on its tail.
