Most probably deployed with the 3-160th SOAR, this UL-60L is pictured at one of the many helo platforms at Kandahar.

This Chinook saw for sure many combat landings in Afghanistan, it is weathered by oil leaks and is has sand all over. ZA707 was delivered to the RAF on 28 September 1981 as a HC1 version. It was later converted to HC2 and much later to HC4 and even to HC6A. As such, it was still flying within the RAF in 2024.

This Mi-8 was delivered as CCCP-27028 to Liana in early 1992. The registration was cancelled months later in May 1992 and it was transferred to the Bulgarian Scorpion Air in June 1992. It became ER-MHF with Valan in December 2000. It was on loan to the United Nations and operated in Indonesia with a Moldovan flag on its tail and was seen as UNO-818 in Chad in July 2007. Moved to Skylink in early 2008 and flown (as picturedd) over war-torn Afghanistan. Transferred to Aerop. Marculesti (Romania) at an unknown date. Last reported, still as ER-MHF, in late 2023.

This former US Army Huey (ex 68-15622) was registered to the US Department of State on 20 September 2006 as N395SD (not visibly carried), and still current as such by 2023. The Department's aircraft can be used for many types of missions, which vary by location. These may include (armed) drug eradication, interdiction, reconnaissance, surveillance, command and control, medical evacuation, transportation of personnel or cargo. It is here returning from a poppy eradiction mission.

This 1992 Mi-8 was delivered to Aeroflot as CCCP-27001. It flew later for the Ukraine government as 27001 (from Jun'99), followed by Vertical-T as RA-27001 (2003). It was moved to the United Nations (UN) in Dec'06 and flew in Pakistan and (as pictured) in Afghanistan. The Mi-8 became N174RU with Simplex Corp. (a probable front company of the CIA) in Dec'08. It then had owners as Konvers Avia, Nizhnevartovskavia, again the UN, Nizhnevartovskavia, all as RA-27001. It became UR-UHC with Ukrainian Heli, then again the UN and Ukrainian Heli and went to to Alfa Aviation Inc. of the USA in Aug'23

The 305th RQS deployed this HH-60G to Kandahar. The door-gunner is over enthusiastic holding its 7.62-mm rotating mini-gun, capable of firing between 2,000 to 4,000 rounds per minute.

This four-ten is former CCCP-67513 when it was delivered to AFL/Kazakhstan on 24 March 1985. It was sold to Aerovista on 26 March 2002. The Turbolet was withdrawn from use at Kharkiv International Airport (Ukraine) in late 2001. The UVP then became EX-417 and was seen here at a remote platform at Kandahar (Afghanistan). It was last seen stored at Sharjah in May 2011. Current status?

It was built by Fokker (L-287) as a Block 15, was modified to Block 20 MLU in the late '90s. The aircraft is now heading for Romania to serve as a training aircraft or to Ukraine.

Just finished its very last flight for the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force), J-006, stripped off squadron markings, was part of the farewell formation flight over the Netherlands. The Falcon is here seen just before it gets its traditional fire department water salute. J-006 was built by Fokker (L-285) as a Block 15AC OCU and delivered to the KLu on 13 Nov'90. It was modified in the mid 90s to Block 20 Mid-Life Update. It served most of the Dutch F-16 squadrons in its career, but is soon after this fini flight heading for Romania as a training aircraft or to Ukraine.

Going for the number three wire, this Viking crew had a little tough time. Strong winds shaked the aircraft behind the carrier in that so-called bulb of airflow
