As there are no further sightings it is assumed the aircraft remained in Nigeria after the lease ended in 1989. The One Eleven had been stuck with engine trouble for several days. In pre mobile phone times her crew relied on HF radio communications with their Bucharest base.

To Air Leone in May 2002 as 9L-LDJ, but never entered service. Stored at Malta on June 14, 2002 and used by the fire dept. for training. Broken up in 2018.

Delivered new to Mohawk Airlines 26th Sep 1966 and merged into Allegheny Airlines Apr 1972 and re-branded as USAir Oct 1979. Became 5N-KBT 25th Oct 1991

Germanairs D-AMUR flew five years for the company before being sold to Philippine Airlines. 18 years later, registered as RP-C1185, the airliner had the honor to perform the last scheduled BAC 1-11 flight for Philippine on 30/MAY/92. Sold to European as VR-BEA, it was used as a source of spares at Bournemouth until scrapped in 2000. - slide from the NK collection.

Delivered British European Airways in July 1969. To British Airways in April 1972 and European Aircharter in June '93.Leased to SABENA in winter '95/'96. Stored Bournemouth in October '99. Scrapped in 2003.

Delivered to British Airways, new in October 1973. Left the fleet in November '88. Over to Birmingham European Airways in February 1990. That became Brymon in October '92. In July '93 over to Maersk Air Uk (for British Airways). In April '97 over to Nationwide Airlines (ZS-OAH). Broken up at Lansaria ,South Africa, in October 2005.

Channel Airways operated three BAC 1-11s; they visited Munich on a few ski-charters only. This airliner was finally active with Okada Air of Nigeria, and when the airline suspended operations in 2002, all of their BAC 1-11s were wfu at Benin City; this one was 5N-AYV. - slide from the NK collection.
