FMS serial 78-0241 was a Fokker built (c/n L-059) Block 10. Delivered to the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 23 May 1981 and assigned to 322 Squadron at Leeuwarden. It is here seen at the pedestrian crossing :-) of Soesterberg, returning home. The Fighting Falcon later flew with 315 sqn (from Mar'94), 311 sqn (Dec'95), 312 sqn (Jul'00), and was stored at Soesterberg in 2001 (with the tail of J-232 and fake J-315 titels). In Jan'04 it was moved to the ROC school in Tilburg, still with fake J-315 serial. From Mar'19 it is used by the fire department at Eindhoven AB

Delivered to the USAF at Soesterberg in early 1980. The Eagle served the Wolfhounds up to 14 April 1992 when it left for CONUS. It was assigned to the 95th FS / 325th FW ('TY') at Tyndall AFB (FL). The aircraft crashed into Gulf of Mexico on 15 March 1993, some 100 miles south of Tyndall, its pilot ejected safely. The wreck was recovered and last seen at Tyndall in January 1996.

Rolling down the taxiway of homebase Soesterberg. This F-15C was delivered to the USAF at Soesterberg on 14 August 1980 and served the Wolfhounds up to 13 September 1990. The Eagle was then sold to Saudi Arabia and received serial 4202 with 42sq. It was in June 1991 assigned to 13sq and from mid-1997 to 6sq with serial 604 and transferred to 2sq with serial 204. In the background aircraft battle damage repair F-105F 62-4417 can be seen. That Thunderchief can now be found as preserved at Hermeskeil (Germany).

The squadron Eagle of the 32nd TFS Wolfhounds, marked as such and its serial is very well chosen. The Eagle was delivered to the USAF at Soesterberg on 14 November 1980 and served the Wolfhounds up to 13 September 1990. The Eagle was then sold to Saudi Arabia and received serial 4217 with 42sq. Was in June 1991 assigned to 13sq and from mid-1997 to 6sq with serial 617 and transferred to 2sq with serial 217.

The Eagle was then sold to Saudi Arabia and received serial 4203 with 42sq. It was in June 1991 assigned to 13sq and from mid-1992 again with 42sq. In 1994 it was moved to 5sq with serial 517. Current status unknown.

First flown on 17 August 1988 and delivered to the Royal Air Force on 4 October 1988. First assigned to Leeming ASF, then to 23 Squadron (as pictured), then to 111sq (HJ, sep91), Leuchars ASF, 43sq (GG, sep93), 56sq, 43sq, 5sq, 5sq (with XQ code, may02), modified by BAE, 25sq (nov02), 56sq (FM, aug06), 43sq, 43sq (with GN code, may08), and made its last flight on 7 July 2009 from Leuchars to Leeming where it was stored.. The F3 was scrapped by February 2011. Here is is seen while taking off from Soesterberg during a squadron exchange with the F-15s of the 32nd TFS.

Returning to its HAS at EHSB from a Quick Reaction Alert mission. The Eagle is armed with live AIM-7 Sidewinder and AIM-9 Sparrow missiles, and most probably with a loaded M61A1 20mm 6 barrel Gatling canon, capable of firing 940 bullets per minute. In the background Sherpa 84-0462 is seen. This 0017 was delivered to the USAF in Jun'80 and assigned to the 32nd in Jul'80. The Eagle was damaged on 29 Aug'85 in a crashlanding at Sola (Norway) but was repaired. It was sold to Saudi Arabia as 4206 and delivered from Soesterberg on 20 Sep'90. With the RSAF, it was reserialled to 608 and later to 208.

Returning to its HAS at EHSB. This 0018 was delivered to the USAF in May'80 and assigned to the 32nd in Jun'80. The Eagle was damaged on 29 Aug'85 in a crashlanding at Sola (Norway) but was repaired. It was sold to Saudi Arabia as 4214 with 42sq and delivered from Soesterberg on 25 Sep'90. With the RSAF, it was later reserialled to 615 with 6sq in mid-'97 and later to 215 with 2sq.

Pictured during a squadron exchange with the F-15C/Ds of the Soesterberg based 32nd TFS. This Tornado F3 was first flown on 30 June 1988, and delivered to the RAF on 15 August 1988. It served since 23/F sqn, 229 OCU, 56 Sqn, 1435 Flight, 111 Sqn, 43 Sqn. The swing-winger was withdrawn from use in July 2009. It made its very last flight on 10 August 2009, from Leuchars to Leeming. At the latter it was stripped and eventually scrapped by March 2015.

A Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) F-15C, armed with Sparrows and Sidewinders, on the runway of its homebase Soesterberg after returning from an earlier Scramble. The Eagle was delivered to the USAF on 14 November 1980 and assigned to the Wolfhounds of the 32nd TFS. It returned CONUS on 21 July 1992 and was assigned to the 325th FW at Eglin AFB (FL). The aircraft was withdrawn from use and became in 2011 a GF-15C Ground Instructional Airframe at Sheppard AFB (TX).

First flown as PH-FBT on 26 Aug'60, delivered to 334sq of the Koninklijke Luchtmacht (KLu, Royal Netherlands Air Force) on 30 Sep'60. The small transporter operated from homebase Soesterberg up to 31 Jul'96, when it was withdrawn from service and stored at Woensdrecht air base (the Netherlands). The F27 was sold on 18 Dec'97 to Valitrade. It became ZS-OEI with Luft Afrique in Feb'98 and became 5Y-BRN with Air Express in Nov'03. Later it flew with that registration with Safe Air from 2009. Safe Air was not so safe as the F27 crashed in poor visibility weather at Bossaso (Somalia) on 4 Mar'10.

Returning to its HAS via the once great aviation photography spot at Soesterberg. 0029 was delivered to the USAF on 13 August 1980 and was immediately assigned to the Wolfhouds at Soesterberg. Near twelve years later, on 23 June 1992, the aircraft returned to CONUS and was assigned to 95th FS / 325th FW ('TY') at Tyndall AFB (FL). The Eagle was retired and stored at AMARG with inventory code AAFH0284 on 30 July 2010.

This time the pilot decided not to do that on a traditional way by waving with the huge air brake on top of the fuselage, but by pumping up its nosewheel strut! 0030 was delivered to the USAF on 14 November 1980 and was immediately assigned to the Wolfhouds at Soesterberg. Near twelve years later, on 23 June 1992, the aircraft returned to CONUS and was assigned to 95th FS / 325th FW ('TY') at Tyndall AFB (FL). The Eagle was retired and stored at AMARG with inventory code AAFH0243 on 16 April 2010.

Delivered to the USAF on 9 Dec'81 and assigned to the 22nd TFS/36th TFW (BT) at Bitburg AB (Germany). It then swapped between the 36th and the 32nd TFS (CR) at Soesterberg several times between Nov'88 and late '93. Moved to CONUS and assigned to the 59th FS/33rd FW (EG) from Dec'93. Then served the 65th AGRS at Nellis between early'06 and early'09. It was transferred to the 186th FS of the Montana ANG in Summer'11. The moved to the 194th FS or the Oregon ANG, last-noted in 2021. Current status? In the background ABDR F-105F 62-4417 (ex Georgia ANG) and on the runway F-15C 81-0027/CR.

Del to the 27th TFS (FF) 9 Sep'82. It arrived with the 32nd on 29 Aug'89. Dep for CONUS 29 May'92. Assigned to the 95th FS (TY). During an air combat training flight the pilots air-regulating valve detached from its torso harness and became lodged in the ejection seat handle. When the pilot turned his head to check his position and pulled the control stick towards him, enough tension was put on the detached valve to raise the ejection seat handle, causing him to eject safely 21 May'04. 0027 is seen here returning to its HAS while 2 Dutch F-16s awaiting approval for for take-off from rnwy 28.

Delivered to the USAF in 1980 and first assigned to the Wolfhouds at Soesterberg AB (the Netherlands) from 30 July 1980. The Eagle never left the sole royal Tactical Fighter Sqruadron of the USAF. The Eagle was sold to Saudi Arabia as 4207 and left Dutch soil on 24 September 1990. Within the Royal Saudi Air Force is was assigned to 42sq, the serial later changed to 609 when it was assigned to 6sq and then to 209 with 2sq.
