The airplane served northern Manitoba communities until September 1980 when it was damaged while landing at Seal River, MB. Eventually ferried out for repair, it became C-GMKA. Exported to the USA in February 1984 as N996SA for Mountain Air Cargo, it unfortunately crashed into trees on approach to Charlotte, NC January 19, 1988.

It was painted and customized by Ikhana Aircraft Services at Murrieta / Temecula - French Valley (F70). It was photographed in Vietnam People's Navy (Hải Quân Việt Nam) markings in heavy rain on Feb 28, 2014 during a prior when it was officially registered N900VK. The aircraft returned to Canada as C-GVAT and departed Victoria, BC on Sep. 28, 2014 on a westbound ferry flight to Vietnam via Alaska, Russia, Korean and Taiwan.
