In the name of stability, government owned TAA and privately owned Ansett-ANA had to operate identical fleets to identical timetables and levy identical fares. TAA had to lease Ansett three of its Viscount 700s. The cross-lease ended in 1966 after six years and VH-INU returned briefly to Ansett-ANA service. It was sold in Taiwan in 1967 as B-2005.
