Originally built for USAAF as P-51D s/n 44-74452. After USAAF/USAF service it was transferred to the Royal Canadian Air Force, and eventually ended up with the Guatemalan Air Force. Repatriated back to the U.S. and was in private storage from 1972-2001. Restoration was completed in 2002. Note- the FAA site erroneously has this a/c listed as 44-75452. That s/n was allocated to a Boeing B-29.

Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation built Mustang with the Royal Australian Air Force as A68-187 from 1950 - 58. Several owners had Australian registrations reserved for the fighter, but none were applied. It was converted to Rolls-Royce Dart power and ground run, but not flown between 1971 - 77. The Merlin engine was re-installed and it was stored until exported to the USA as N919WJ for World Jet, Inc in 1995. The Warbird has been flying again as N50FS since conversion to a TF-51D using parts from P-51 44-74839 (cn 122-41379) in 1996.
