Delivered between January 2013 and September 2014, this batch carries tailnumbers CB-8001 through CB-8010. In 2017, an eleventh C-17 registered CB-8011 (ex N272ZD) was sold to India, but this last plane was only delivered in August of 2019. The international sanctions laid upon South Africa because of apartheid forced the country to create its own defence industry. The first flight of the Rooivalk attack helicopter dates back to February 1990. The drive train and powerplant are based on the Aerospatiale SA-330 Puma series and the Turbomeca Makila engine. The Rooivalk was a finalist in Turkey's attack helicopter evaluation but lost against the Agusta A129 Mangusta. In the end, only 12 Rooivalks were produced for the SAAF.

Early morning arrival from Jayapura-Sentani, another full day of cargo hauling ahead. New to Wien Air as N493WC in October 1979, then as N744AS to Alaska Airlines in November 1984. Sold to Tri-M.G. Intra Asia Airlines in February 2005 as PK-YGF, then to Malaysia to Neptune Air as 9M-NEA for a couple od month in 2009, back to Tri-M.G. as PK-YGP before being sold to Dirgantara Air Services in january 2015
