The aircraft was under rebuild in the UK until attempts were abandoned by 2005. It was transported to Weston in Ireland in on 19/20 January 2006 for continued restoration, but it was eventually broken up there on 27 June 2012.

It was bad luck that this beautifully painted Super Catalina was having its engines serviced when we visited. I'd much rather have captured it without those rigs blocking my view. The aircraft carries "Super Catalina" titles and various other writings on the fuselage, all hand-painted.

The wingtip on the left belongs to a Beech 18, the one on the right to a DC-3. This Catalina was still at Ephrata by 2024. In July of that year it was acquired by the Yanks Air Museum.
